Internship Programme QC (lab experience)

Our Client who is based in Midrand, is a large manufacturer of medical supplies and materials. They are seeking a young and driven Quality Control (QC) intern to join their dynamic team. This is a 12 month internship which focuses on ensuring products or processes meet quality standards. Interns typically assist in testing, inspecting, and documenting findings, while also learning about QC procedures, data analysis, and potential areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Testing and Inspection:
Performing quality checks on raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products, following established procedures.

Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate records of testing results, inspections, and any deviations from quality standards.

Data Analysis:
Analyzing data from testing and inspection results to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Reporting:
Preparing reports on quality issues, findings, and recommended actions.

Collaboration:
Working with production teams, engineers, and other QC personnel to ensure quality objectives are met.

Process Improvement:
Contributing to efforts to identify and implement improvements in QC processes and procedures.

Additional Duties:
Assisting with equipment maintenance and calibration.
Managing lab supplies and inventory.
Participating in training and development activities related to QC.

Skills and Qualifications:
Chemical Engineering or Technology diploma
Analytical chemistry, Polymer Technology and Quality management experience
Lab and QC experience (1 year)
Basic understanding of quality control principles and practices.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
Good communication and record-keeping skills.
