Hydraulic Fitter

Job Purpose
• Responsible for maintaining all hydraulic/ Pneumatic systems to the manufacturing standard and constantly improving all systems to minimise downtime on any system. To maintain all hydraulics equipment and Disa Matic Machine.
Key Work Outputs And Accountabilities
• To do maintenance on hydraulics and Disa spare parts.
• To do maintenance Disa Matic machines.
• To maintain hydraulic power packs. • Check visually for any faulty on hydraulic units.
• To do tig-weld.
• To make hydraulic hoses.
• Identify hydraulic fittings.
• To do bend hydraulic steel pipes and installations.
• charge accumulators by means of nitrogen.
• Do stocktaking on hydraulic spares, Disa spares and hydraulic fittings and pipes.
• Ordering of spare parts using SAP system and have good communicating skills.
• Provide reporting daily on spares that were previously used.
• Be part of planned maintenance and found work processes by means of completing job cards and submitting to the supervisor.
• Pjo’s to be conducted on weekly basis.
• Be part of daily maintenance meeting when required.
• Maintain good working standards in department and constant work monitoring of work done.
• Perform checklist inspection on hydraulic equipment on daily and monthly basis.
• Do plant inspections.
• Identify, monitor, and report on UIP project.

Qualifications:
Essential:
• Grade 12. • Qualified Artisan - Fitter / Fitter and Turner / Millwright.
• Drivers licence
Advantageous:
• Basic hydraulic course / pneumatic certificate.
• Advance hydraulic course/ training certificate.

• N/A

Personal Attributes, Skills And Knowledge:
• Must have strong knowledge and understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Must be able to read and understand hydraulic drawings.
• Previous experience of MK3/4 machines with hydraulic AMC.
• Must have Basic knowledge of spraying machines and spare parts.
• Must have basic boiler making / welding skills.
• Must be a team player and capable of thinking outside the box.
• Must be self-motivated.
• Must be able to work under pressure.
• Must be able to do standby and work overtime.
• Must be medically fit to work on heights and confined space.
• Must have own transport.
• Punctual and self-disciplined
