Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Technical Sales Representative to help lead our Client’s growth across South Africa. If you’re passionate about technical sales, thrive in client-facing environments, and have strong knowledge of fire detection, gas suppression, and electronic security systems, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing:
Identifying and securing new business across commercial, industrial, and government sectors
Managing tender submissions, proposals, and bid documentation
Nurturing and expanding client relationships
Conducting site visits, technical assessments, and solution presentations
Tracking market trends and competitor activities
Collaborating with internal teams to align technical solutions with client needs
Meeting sales targets and reporting on pipeline activity using CRM systems
What you’ll need:
Matric + relevant post-matric qualification
Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development or technical sales
PSIRA and SAQCC (Fire Detection and/or Gas Suppression) registration
Proven experience in tendering and technical solution selling
Strong understanding of fire protection and electronic security systems (e.g., CCTV, access control)
Ability to interpret technical drawings and basic network infrastructure
Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
Skills and attributes:
Strong communication and negotiation ability
Technically minded with commercial acumen
Self-starter who can also collaborate in teams
Professional, client-focused, and well-presented
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems
