Job Description
Position Title: Regional Workshop & Spares Manager
Location: Gauteng
Reporting To: National Workshop & Spares Manager
Industry: FMCG
Salary Range: R80 000 – R90 000 Basic + Full House (FH) Benefits
Language Requirement: Afrikaans (Fluent – Essential)

Main Purpose of the Role
To manage all workshop and spares operations within the Gauteng region, ensuring top-tier service delivery, stock availability, technician productivity, and customer satisfaction. This role requires effective planning, team leadership, and strong administrative capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Education:
• Matric (Grade 12) – Essential
• Relevant technical post-matric qualification (N4 or higher in Millwright, Engineering, or Automotive) – Preferred
Experience:
• Solid experience managing workshop and/or spares operations
• Strong knowledge of stock and inventory control
• Experience managing Field Technicians and Workshop staff
• FMCG industry experience – Non-negotiable
• Hands-on experience in customer service and relationship management
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee workshop and spares operations in JHB and surrounding regions
• Lead and manage a team of ±12 staff
• Drive and monitor Technician productivity and efficiency
• Ensure adequate stock levels to meet operational demands
• Conduct quarterly stock controls
• Improve service turnaround and ensure service excellence across operations
• Handle customer queries, complaints, and maintain related documentation
• Perform follow-up calls and service quality checks
• Manage spares administration, job cards, invoicing, and documentation
• Oversee vehicle maintenance for the team
• Prepare and manage quotations
• Build and maintain client relationships through regular site visits
• Assist with warranty claims and related follow-ups
• Ensure effective process implementation and execution
• Compile and submit regular reports to management
