About the Role

In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end sales process for commercial and personal lines short-term insurance. You’ll work closely with existing clients to upsell additional services, source new leads, and maintain an immaculate database of client information. Key Responsibilities

Commercial Sales & Deal Closing
Oversee the full sales cycle for commercial and personal lines short-term insurance.
Generate quotes, expertly address client inquiries, and negotiate pricing to finalize sales telephonically or in-person.
Adhere to the company’s quality standards, ensuring each deal aligns with FAIS regulations and matches our clients’ needs.
New Business Development & Upselling
Source new leads—whether through personal referrals, networking events, marketing campaigns, or existing databases—to cultivate a steady pipeline of potential clients.
Identify opportunities to upsell services to current customers, offering tailored solutions that enhance their coverage and protect their interests.
Leverage robust communication techniques to demonstrate value, close deals, and encourage long-term partnerships.
Client Relationship Management
Field client queries with urgency and professionalism, providing timely resolutions to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
Manage databases efficiently, recording essential client details and updates in the CRM system.
Perform regular portfolio reviews with existing clients, confirming that their contact details remain current and their coverage accurately reflects their evolving needs.
Cross-Divisional Collaboration
Work closely with the Life Division by collecting leads from short-term or medical aid clients, supporting potential cross-selling opportunities.
Follow up on quotations and email-based inquiries to capitalize on warm leads, ensuring prospective clients receive all necessary information.
Liaise with Broker Consultants at various insurance companies to coordinate underwriting requirements, resolve policy concerns, and streamline application processes.
Credit Control & Documentation
Actively manage arrear premiums by contacting clients in overdue status, delivering solutions to secure prompt payments and maintain policy validity.
Coordinate with the driver for timely collection and delivery of important documentation, ensuring seamless transitions from quote acceptance to final policy issuance.
Oversee tracker and inspection requirements, verifying that all outstanding details are addressed before business acceptance.
Policy Enhancements & Compliance
Add benefits to existing policies based on client needs and emerging market offerings, offering clear guidance on advantages and potential cost implications.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of FAIS legislation, ensuring all interactions align with regulatory standards.
Uphold RE5 best practices, confirming that your sales approach, client advice, and documentation meet the highest levels of compliance.

Required Skills and Competencies

FAIS & RE5 Compliance
RE5 qualified (Regulatory Exam 5), showcasing comprehensive knowledge of short-term insurance practices and obligations.
Proven ability to operate within the FAIS framework, maintaining ethical conduct and legal adherence throughout all client engagements.
Computer Literacy
Proficient in standard office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable navigating CRM systems or specialized insurance software.
