Job Description

We’re recruiting on behalf of a trailblazing brand in experiential group travel.

Turn raw travel logistics into seamless, memory-making experiences! This role offers a rare opportunity to join an established team shaping unforgettable African tours. Our client—an innovative force in the touring space—is looking for a Product Specialist who brings a love for Southern Africa, an eye for detail, and a flair for collaboration.

You’ll serve as the glue between tour design, supplier engagement, data systems, and operational support—playing a central role in ensuring every trip runs as planned, and every guest is delighted.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:
• Crafting immersive itineraries for scheduled tours, private charters, and tailor-made experiences using deep destination insight and market research.
• Building strong partnerships with accommodation providers, excursion operators, and transport vendors to ensure service excellence.
• Managing supplier contracts and documentation—from accurate recordkeeping to coordinating seasonal communication plans.
• Ensuring data accuracy across booking platforms, internal databases, and guest-facing documents.
• Collaborating cross-functionally with operations, reservations, and customer service teams to elevate tour delivery.
• Monitoring and responding to feedback from guides and guests to identify areas for growth and innovation.

What We’re Looking For:
• At least 3 years’ experience in tour operations, preferably with a destination management company (DMC) or tour operator.
• In-depth understanding of Southern African travel logistics, including routes, attractions, distances, and supplier capabilities.
• Confident managing data systems and tech-savvy with booking and content platforms.
• A collaborative communicator who can think analytically, work independently, and keep cool under pressure.
• A natural problem-solver with a keen sense of detail and passion for efficiency.

Bonus Points For:
• Experience with Tourplan or similar systems
• Travel & Tourism qualification
• Basic project management skills
• A background in sales or marketing in the travel space

If you’re ready to turn behind-the-scenes magic into extraordinary guest moments, we’d love to hear from you. The salary on offer is competitive and based on experience.
