Job Description

This position is responsible to champion and drive the success of the specific brand’s products and solutions and to develop strategies with the goal of growing and maximizing the brands profits and share in the market while ensuring customers are satisfied.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

1. Responsible to fully familiarise yourself with all company policies and procedures.
2. Attend meetings, conferences, trainings and seminars if and when needed.
3. Establish periodic goals and objectives, understand how they will be measured, receive feedback from the General Manager Western Cape and work towards achieving these agreed upon results within the stated time period.
4. Responsible for the promotion and sales of products and solutions at a national and international (where required) level across all market segments.
5. Responsible to understand market and customer.
6. Responsible for brand building, liaising with agencies, production of in-house promotional materials and publications, preparing press releases and organizing promotional activities.
7. Responsible for achieving sales targets and the planned increase of market share via excellent customer service, appropriate sales and marketing activities and effective stock management.
8. Maintain a current knowledge of market conditions and competition.
9. Responsible to maintain and grow the dealer network targeted by the brand’s products, services and solutions.
10. Responsible to maintain and grow the end user network targeted by the brand’s products, services and solutions.
11. Set up and deliver sales presentations, product/service demonstrations and other sales solutions to customers and various decision-making audiences.
12. Enter new customer data and update changes to existing accounts in the corporate database.
13. Establish and maintain ongoing rapport with existing and potential dealers and end users.
14. Investigate and troubleshoot customer service/product issues.
15. Appropriately communicate brand identity and corporate position to target markets.
16. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of competitor’s products, services and solutions for comparison.
17. Answer questions and offer suggestions to customers based on a thorough knowledge of products, services and solutions offered.
18. Develop new accounts, maintain current accounts and expand the brand’s database of customers.
19. Responsible for weekly/monthly/quarterly sales data and reports.
20. Develop and maintain a routine calling schedule on existing customers and future customers.
21. Manage sales, margins, inventory levels, and purchasing to maximize profitability within the Brand.
22. Develop rollout guides, training materials, and implementation plans for new products if and when needed.
23. Identify opportunity across various market segments and develop action plans to improve performance in all market segments.
24. Develop reports for evaluating the profitability of products.
25. Track performance on all SKUs within the brand.
26. Develop sales and demand forecasts and actual sales analysis for the different market segments on a month-by-month basis.
27. Develop a monthly promotional calendar to enhance sales and profits. Present promotional calendar to the General Manager Western Cape for approval.
28. Conduct dealer visits to monitor product performance and make recommendations.
29. Build and maintain end user relationships and develop action plans to improve brand demand and sales within the end user market.
30. Work closely with customers to determine their requirements.
31. Manage supplier relationships to include purchasing, the negotiation of rebate programs, as well as, tracking, and billing for rebates.
32. Develop forecasts to ensure proper inventories are maintained in the warehouse.
33. Maintain code of ethics, integrity and passion at all times.
34. Provide prompt and courteous customer service at all times.
35. Perform other duties as assigned.
