General Tiler Construction Site

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled General Tiler to join our construction team. The tiler will be responsible for cutting, laying, and finishing tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces according to project specifications. The ideal candidate should have experience working with various types of tiles, adhesives, and grouting materials, with a strong ability to measure and cut tiles precisely using a tile cutter.

Key Responsibilities:
• Measure and mark surfaces to determine tiling layout and cutting requirements.
• Cut, shape, and adjust tiles using a tile cutter, ensuring accurate and smooth edges.
• Prepare surfaces by leveling, cleaning, and applying adhesives before tile installation.
• Lay tiles on walls, floors, and other surfaces in alignment with project blueprints and designs.
• Apply grout, sealants, and finishing materials to complete tile installations.
• Inspect and repair damaged tiles or uneven tiling as needed.
• Ensure all work meets safety regulations and quality standards.
• Collaborate with other construction workers, site managers, and clients to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.

Requirements:
Education & Certification:
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Certification in tiling or a related field (preferred but not required).
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (preferred).
Experience:
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a tiler in a construction environment.
• Proven experience using a tile cutter for precision cutting and adjustments.
Skills & Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of different types of tiles, adhesives, and grouting techniques.
• Proficiency in using a tile cutter and other relevant tools.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings for accurate tile placement.
• Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
Work Conditions:
• Requires working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor construction sites.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
• May require overtime and weekend work based on project timelines.
