General Worker – Bricklayer

Job Summary:
The General Worker – Bricklayer is responsible for laying bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials to construct and repair structures such as walls, buildings, and pathways. This role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a construction environment while adhering to safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials.
• Mix mortar and ensure proper consistency for bonding materials.
• Align structures using levels, plumb bobs, and measuring tools.
• Cut and shape bricks using hand and power tools.
• Repair and restore existing masonry structures as needed.
• Follow blueprints, drawings, and building plans for accurate construction.
• Load, unload, and transport bricks, cement, and other materials.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following site safety regulations.
• Assist in general construction tasks when bricklaying is not required.
• Operate basic construction equipment and tools under supervision.
Requirements:
• Previous experience as a bricklayer or construction worker preferred.
• Knowledge of bricklaying techniques and materials.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints or instructions.
• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
• Familiarity with construction site safety protocols.
• Ability to work in different weather conditions.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).
• Certification in bricklaying or masonry work is an advantage.
