General Worker Painter

Job Summary:
A Painter is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing surfaces to enhance the appearance and durability of structures, including walls, ceilings, and exterior surfaces. The role requires expertise in various painting techniques, surface preparation, and adherence to safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching holes, and priming.
• Select appropriate paints, varnishes, and finishes based on project requirements.
• Apply paint using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Mix and match colors to meet client specifications.
• Ensure a smooth, high-quality finish with attention to detail.
• Set up scaffolding and ladders safely to reach higher surfaces.
• Follow safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and ventilation measures.
• Maintain and clean painting tools, brushes, and equipment.
• Repair and touch up painted surfaces as needed.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to complete projects on time.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a painter or relevant apprenticeship.
• Knowledge of different paints, primers, and application techniques.
• Ability to work at heights using ladders or scaffolding.
• Physical stamina to stand, bend, and work long hours.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and use PPE correctly.
• Basic knowledge of color mixing and matching.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Certification in painting or construction is a plus
