Job Description

George’s Savoury Snacks: Commission-Based | Freelance | Must Have Own Vehicle:

Summary of the Role:

George’s Savoury Snacks, an exciting brand with bold flavours and high-quality snack products, is looking for an experienced Freelance Sales Representative to drive sales across Gauteng in both retail and wholesale sectors. This is a high-energy, high-reward role for someone with a passion for building customer relationships, opening new accounts, and growing a portfolio of loyal buyers.

Success in this position means consistently exceeding sales targets, expanding our presence in stores, and building lasting partnerships with key accounts. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and has a solid background in FMCG.

This role plays a key part in our overall growth strategy and brand rollout. You’ll be the on-the-ground ambassador for George’s, turning first-time buyers into long-term fans.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a territory sales plan to achieve monthly targets and KPIs
Build and maintain strong relationships with retail and wholesale customers
Identify and open new sales opportunities across independent and chain stores
Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform sales strategy
Manage product merchandising and ensure optimal stock levels on-shelf
Provide weekly sales and performance reports to head office
Represent George’s Savoury Snacks with professionalism and enthusiasm at all times
Coordinate with our internal teams to resolve customer service issues and ensure high satisfaction

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years proven sales experience in FMCG (Retail & Wholesale)
Own reliable motor vehicle and valid driver’s license
Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets
Solid knowledge of the Gauteng retail and wholesale landscape
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
Technically proficient – able to use sales tracking tools and submit reports electronically
Matric (Grade 12) minimum; further sales or business-related qualifications advantageous
